New Years Trip with Sissy & Pezzy

So me, my sister and her boyfriend flew back to Ireland to celebrate New Years Eve with my Fiancé and friends :) Once we got to the house and got them settled in and ordered coal from the coal man which was hilarious as sissy thought I was being lazy and didnt realise that this is something you do over here opposed to topping up a gas card and turning the heating on LOL. The 4 of us headed to The Huntsman Inn for a spot of lunch and a drink...

Perry Enjoying his 1st Irish Ale

Later that evening we got ready to go out for New Years Eve, we started by having a few drinks in the house with my bestie and Kenny's bestie which ooops led to us arriving in town already drunkers :P Was sure to be the start of a night to always remember.

We went to Crowes to meet Kenny's Uncle & Aunt and have a toast of Champagne with them to celebrate there 2nd Wedding Anniversary and the New Year. Spent the rest of the night in the Skeff patiently waiting for the countdown to 2014 and a loud joyous sing and dance of Auld Lang Syne!

New Years Day the 4 of us got into Ciara & Perry's hire care and made our way out to Mum's home town Athenry to go see our nanny Ireland's grave and leave some flowers :( Afterwards we went to mum's old house and her school....

We drove back in to Galway city then and went for a stroll along Salt Hill Prom and a cheeky visit in to the Casino where we all left €300 richer :D RESULT :D

Went home then for a wash and a relax before heading out to watch Manchester Utd v Tottenham at the Trappers Inn - we intended on getting dinner there too but the menu was pretty much all chicken and due to have 2 fussy males with us we decided on Guinness for the match and would see was there anywhere to eat after. Wohooooo Tottenham won :D Celebrations for me but now a fiancé who wont talk to me as he is a Man U fan oooops hahahahahaha. After the match we got a cab too Elwoods bar & grill, a lovely restaurant off of a hotel, had never been in there before and had no idea what a lovely relaxed place it was, I ordered the steak ( I never eat steak as I dont particularly like it) but OMG it was luscious and am now wondering why we have not been back for it hmmmmm.

The 2nd of January the 4 of us went to the Planet for a game of bowling, I was winning the whole time until sissy beat me by 1 in the end :( Oh well I dont mind it was a fun game and we had a right laugh, we was killing time as later that evening we went down to Kenny's family for a lovely Turkey roast dinner so that everyone could meet, the atmosphere was fab and Kenny's mum sure knows how to make your belly happy :D Delicious food always.

The 3rd of January then was there last day so we went to Eddie Rockets for lunch - a lovely American style Diner that does all types of huge burgers and milk shakes to die for! Then it was back to the house for them to pack and off they went.

We had such a fantastic time with them from sharing our home to going out drinking, eating, meeting extended family and just being able to share the start of a new year with them is something ill never forget.

My Bud X

2 days shy of my 2 year anniversary on the eve of moving back to England I went on a date with a guy I had met months before hand and been speaking to for the summer of 2010. My flight was booked, most of my stuff was packed and ready to leave, but I went on this date We went to the cinema to see Switch - It was a freezing cold and wet September afternoon and the cinema was just as cold as the outside, I waited nervously to see if he would try and put his arm around me or hold me hand......He did both & even offered me his coat. After the cinema we went to The Planet a local bowling alley with the usual games and children's play areas, We had a game of pool, was good every time he bent over I sneaked a peek at his bum :) We went on our separate ways after that. After arriving back where I was staying I had some dinner and a gossip with friend and watched some TV. My phone buzzed I had a text from him...What does it mean? He liked me...Really?? I was shocked (I am a negative person & had a low self esteem). He wanted to meet again the next day :D I rang my aunty in England and she told me to stay and see where it goes, otherwise I would spend the rest of my life wondering! I said I would see how the next day went before ringing home and breaking the news that I had decided to stay - A call I was not looking forward to as my mum had previously told me that me living in another country & my sister in a different part of England was the reason she was going slightly grey :( Not to mention how much we all miss each other and it does NOT get any easier!

The next day I met this tall handsome guy who held me hand as we walked along the Claddagh towards Salt Hill beach. It was very windy and I was very cold so after a while we walked back to town and went to a little cafe and ordered a pot of tea, we sat there then till closing just talking about our hopes and dreams, pasts and what we want from the future...you know how it goes :). Later that evening he rang me and asked if I would be his girlfriend :) I said yes, he was my McDreamy ... I had butterflies and couldn't stop smiling.

Now I had to make that phone call :/ It turned out I was worrying over nothing, as long as I was happy and was sure it was what I wanted then my parents were happy for me :) I do have the best parents ya know ;).

Fast forward to 18th December 2012 >>>>> ENGAGEMENT <3

YES YES YES YES YES YES YES YES YES YES YES YES YES YES YES YES YES YES YES

There is no doubt in my mind I want to spend the rest of my life with this man! <3

A 'LittleLot' About Me

So I am Vicky, I was born in East London and raised in Essex with my little sister (19 months younger)
I finished school at 16 after completing my G.C.S.E's in 2004, That October i got my first full time job in the big bad city of London, I staid there until April 2007 when I travelled to Turkey for the summer season, working in various bars and restaurants and learning how the Turkish people live. It was amazing, it had more downs than ups due to it being a poorer country so things like toilet roll was a luxury.
I returned home September 2007 and joined up with the West Essex NHS temp staff, I got in to the finance department helping with the end of year taxes in May 2008.

That September my sister was due to start University down in Bristol so to spend some quality time with her we headed to Ireland to see some family and shop, drink and have a good time. Whilst there an aunt asked me what my next move was - I wanted to go to college as most employers were now looking for certificates to get jobs. I didn't have one. She showed me an advert in their local paper for a community college offering night time courses to get the same level certificates as a full time student for half of the price. I love children & photography....They had both :) Special Needs was a whopping €110 for a 21 week course and Photography was €85 for a 11 week course....I had some decisions to make but forgot about it while I enjoyed the rest of our break. On our last evening our aunt offered me to move to Ireland and do these courses and start making something of myself, she had a spare room so I went home with my sissy with food for thought. I spoke with my parents and told them that I thought this would be a good move. So less then 1 week later I moved to Galway, Ireland on the 16th September 2008, The following day I enrolled for both courses and started the Special Needs course the night after that. The very same day I started working as Substitute Special Needs Assistant on a ring me at 8 in the morning - Are you available? How quick can you get in basis? LOL.
